Don't Make Me Beg
04:36
|
|||
I know you want me honey because you told me so
I'm ready to give it to you baby, but first you gotta let me know,
I said please, please, please, please
My daddy once told me that a gentleman
Must know his place
You've gotta tell me what you want,
'cause I just can't read your face
Hey baby c'mon and
come on home
I could wait till hell freezes over
But I just don't wanna be alone
I said please, please, please please
My daddy once told me that a gentleman
Must know his place
You've gotta tell me what you want,
'cause I just can't read your face
Honey honey I'm tellin' you woman
that I want you and I know you want me too
So now baby this is what you gotta do
I said please, please, please
My daddy once told me that a gentleman
Must know his place
You've gotta tell me what you want,
'cause I just can't read your face
Don't make me beg
Please please don't make me back

The Boogaloo

I like hanging out on Sundays
Never much did care for Monday
Happen to like my coffee
a little sweet
I’m like a dog chasing a rabbit
Multiplied with loud bad habits
I’m just a guy who showed up today
Everybody stop
Everybody go
Everybody's here
Everybody knows
Everybody green
Everybody red
Everybody's here
Inside of my head
Tangled up in caramel
A carousel in a Wishing well
Throwing coins back to the hopeless hands
Juggernaut conquistadors,
Haven’t we been here before?
Place your signature on the dotted line
Scream it down from the parapets
A neon day glow silhouette
It’s a race to the bottom of a bottomless pit
At the straw man, the paper tiger roars,
"Haven’t we been here before?"
Place your thumb right here on this button
Bring me back to when things made sense
No need for repayment or recompense
I'm just lost in the now
I don't know how
to get back
to get back
to get back home
Hangman's laughing at history
Where we wind up is a mystery
Tomorrow's just another gift you can't return

Follow me child
I'm going to take you somewhere
magical in the woods
Don't stray too far from the path my dear
Follow the sound of my voice
Some day you'll go on without me
Take what you've learned here
I can't tell you how wonderful you are

Rock N Roll (In Space)
04:46
|
|||
Well I ran out of gas at Alpha Centauri
Some mean old man had some guns out after me
So I grabbed my strat and hit the streets
With a some rowdy androids and some 808 beats
It sounded somethin' like...
For the sake of your mom
And the fate of the world
I hope
I pray
I goddamn know
There's Rock N Roll (in space)
Thrusters on it's time to start the show
I need to be where the gravity's low
Under the glow of these cosmic rays
It's Rock N Roll (in space)
We're sending some signals to galaxies unknown
Just bring some drums and microphones
You bring the Casio.
I'll bring the SG
Cosmonauts will roll tape.
We'll shred and rock beats
We're picking up signals on a new frequency
coming from somewhere across the galaxy
Turn up all the knobs and engage hyperspace
Tune up your guitar and check that bass
It's gonna sound like...

Sheriff please put your gun away
Understand my trigger wasn't pulled with hate
Sheriff this ain't the way it seems
I've seen things that'll drain your dreams,
Sheriff please put your gun away
John, I'm begging you don't go in
This house was baptized in the flames of sin
There's just some things a man can't unsee
If we've ever been friends, please listen to me
John, I'm begging you don't go in
Well the earth opened up its mouth and everything went south
the day these wraiths came flowing like a liquid laugh. They came screaming down 61 as we loaded up our guns not knowing if we would make it to see the aftermath.
The broadcast men said chemicals made 'em lose their heads but I know this air I breathe and this soil I tread
Precious little on which I depend somehow took me to the end. One's blood, one's gone, and the other's on the mend
All these things we lost along the way, nothing but a crying shame.Let's watch these twisted roots wither in the flames.
It's a sad, sad song
all the parrots dance along
From dust you came
To dust you shall return
It's a sad, sad song
the marionettes all sing along
From dust you came
To dust you shall return
It's a sad, sad song
all the parrots sing along
From dust you came
To dust you shall return
It's a sad, sad song
the marionettes all dance along
From dust you came
To dust you shall return
Lucky enough to dream.

Dracula

From my tower I scream
Curses of hatred and pain
For the day they took my dear beloved away
She had no blood of royals
She was my next to turn
Their reckoning is at hand and I'll watch them burn
I am the butcher's cleave
I am the reaper's blade
Close your eyes, darling
Prepare to be saved
They never see me coming
But when they do
It's because I want them to
In the pale moonlight
Your flowing hair so crimson
Your soft skin so white
I can give you something
Not another can
You'll be more than nature,
More than man
All of your petty weapons
All of your sad religions
All your hopes and dreams
All your little children
I'm gonna watch it burn
to cinder and ash
You've taken something from me
I'll never get her back

Un Hiver Rural Noir
03:58
|

I clutch my hands to hold my heart
There's nothing but a hole there now
It pulls me in
I drop to my knees
Siren song singing to me
I fell through the earth for 10,000 years
I saw the stars, gods, birth, and war
Ain't no good ever come from a man like me,
Till she gave me what I'd always begged her for
Bye bye blackbird
Winter is coming
Oh Haven’t you heard
Bye bye blackbird
Sugar so sweet
Cold so bitter
I've seen rich men, poor men, beggars, and thieves
Seen a whole lot better than me
Seen doorways to nowhere
Seen doorways to hell
She always opened new doors for me

If Teardrops Were Beer
03:57
|
|||
If teardrops were beer
I'd be drunk all the time
Drunk all the time I would be
But the only thing diff'rent
From my dream and what's real
Is that all of my drinks would be free
You've gone and taken your things
You've gone and moved down the road
But how could you leave me
On a Sunday, my dear
When you know that the liquor store's closed
I guess that I should move on
Find a way to soldier on through the strife
But I think I can make it without you, my dear
With booze as the love of my life

Daymare

Apoplectic at the sound
Outpost towns burned to the ground
I’ve been gone for far too long
My old clothes they all fit me wrong
Isolation fever dream
Decapitated by the queen
The rabbit screams something’s amiss
Standing at the edge of the abyss
Population counting down
The only thing I’ve ever known
You’re all gone and I am numb
Daymare
A million miles away from home
The only thing I’ve ever known
You’re all gone and I am numb
Daymare
A million miles away from home
Fever beat pulse in my ears
Boulders rolling through the years
Planets fall forever down
The day the tanks came in to town
A little girl dandelion
crushed before my very eyes
